The Jackerys are no longer four isolated orange boxes. They are becoming the portable wing of Vanilla’s wider energy system.
I have gradually built a flexible portable-power system around Vanilla, my Indium Grey VW Transporter T6.1. The latest development is the bit that joins everything together: I can now replenish the Jackerys from Vanilla’s leisure-battery system through an Anderson connection.
With the improved roof solar and Victron SmartSolar MPPT harvesting daylight more effectively, the leisure battery is not merely supporting Vanilla’s fixed 12V loads. When conditions and available capacity allow, some of that stored energy can continue into a portable Jackery.
The Anderson connector provides a robust physical connection; it does not decide the charging rate. Charging power remains governed by the particular Jackery’s supported input, the cable arrangement, voltage and Vanilla’s electrical system. Nothing here bypasses a manufacturer limit.
Parked in useful sunshine, Vanilla can harvest energy into its central 12V store. The Anderson route gives me somewhere else to put some of that energy, while a Jackery lets me carry it outside, into the awning, beside the drones or completely away from the van.
This is not perpetual energy. Every conversion costs something, and the original energy still comes from the sun, alternator, hook-up or another legitimate charging source. The clever part is choice: several ways to collect, store, move and use electricity.

How much power a device demands right now. Forge can supply up to 2,200W continuously; Kindle up to 1,500W. An appliance must remain within the relevant unit’s limits.
How much energy is stored. A theoretical 100W load on a 1,070Wh battery is not a guaranteed 10.7 hours: inverter use, temperature and conversion losses reduce real runtime.

The real advantage is not owning four Jackerys. It is choice. For a drone outing I do not need to drag Forge around. For a serious off-grid stay I do not ask the 240 v2 to perform miracles. With better solar and the Anderson bridge, the whole setup is beginning to work as one energy ecosystem.
