14.8 Miles of Proof

An ordinary evening turned into a proper Chase mission: meaningful climbing, a tidy top speed and the ride that proved Torque could stretch the day.

03 // Super Nix Torque ride analysis

The numbers speak.
I translate.

This was the ride where Torque stopped being the new bike and became the adventure machine. I fitted 14.8 miles and 1,178 feet of climbing into an ordinary day, then finished already looking at the map again.

01

The proof of concept

The headline is not simply 14.8 miles. It is what those miles contained: 1,178 feet of climbing, trail variety and enough pace to feel alive without turning the outing into a race.

Torque’s assistance widened the useful part of the map. The ride remained mine; the hills simply stopped getting the final vote.

02

An evening used properly

A ride time of 1 hour 36 minutes is long enough to feel like an expedition and short enough to belong to a normal day. That balance became the blueprint for later Torque rides.

04 // The Nix verdict

93/100

The ride that proved Torque was not a novelty. Fourteen point eight miles went into the legs; a much larger Cannock Chase came out of the map.
