Small machine. Big baking energy.
Meet my Panasonic SD-PN100 Mini Breadmaker — the little black box that turns a handful of ingredients into something rather magnificent.
I live on my own, so I don't need a breadmaker that produces an enormous loaf every time I fancy a sandwich. What I do want is proper homemade bread, warm from the machine, with that wonderful smell drifting through the kitchen. That's exactly why I love my Panasonic SD-PN100.
It's compact, looks superb on the worktop and makes baking feel like a bit of an event. One day I'm chasing the perfect soft white loaf; the next I'm tinkering with milk bread, crustier bakes or a completely new idea. For me, half the fun is experimenting.
I've even got my yeast routine sorted. I keep my Allinson's yeast in the freezer, and it works brilliantly for me whenever I fire up the little Panasonic. Measure, load, choose the programme — then let the magic happen.
I never use more than 250g of flour in my own SD-PN100 recipes. I've broken a breadmaker before by overloading it, and I have absolutely no intention of doing that again. Please follow the machine's official recipe quantities and limits rather than trying to scale up a loaf.
Is it the biggest breadmaker in the world? Of course not. That's rather the point. It's the right size for the way I bake, it encourages me to try new recipes, and there's something deeply satisfying about cutting into a loaf you've made yourself.
The verdict? Small in size. Huge in personality. And very much at home in the NIX kitchen.
Keep experimenting. Keep baking. — NIX 🍞
